Today I was having a bad day. My To-Do list wasn't completed, I was indulged in my own thoughts. I was feeling very low (Dopamine Levels shunted) & that's when my younger brother gave me a visit. This visit of him unexpectedly thought me one of the best lessons of life. I was sharing many feelings about how low I was feeling and how despaired I was. Instead of solacing me it happened he shared a story with me. It goes like this. Once upon a time there was a old man who was broken, lost his family and bankrupt. He was so broken as darkness was gulping him way in. Broken, disheartened he heard about a monk who solve others problem. In a hope with ending of his problems he gave monk a visit. He told the monk about his problems and shared his feeling to make him understand the pain he was going through. The monk gave him a simple solution. The monk asked him to travel a desert as far as he can. Upon listening to the monk he was ready for this arduous journey. Upon leaving the monk gave him two envelopes with a message inside. He asks him to open the first envelope when he becomes very rich and second envelope when he gets exhausted travelling the desert and gives up. The man travelling through hot sunny desert with whooshing hot winds blowing. After several days, when he was out food and water makes his makes his mind to give up. At that moment he remembers the monk words and opens the first envelope which was to be opened when he becomes very rich. The message that envelope carries is "This Time Is A Phase & Will Pass On". Fortunately after reading this message he finds out a huge treasury buried beneath him. In the joy of becoming very rich he forgets about the message. Few Years later when he becomes one of wealthiest persons in the city he remembers about the second envelope and opens it. The message it carried was "This Time Is A Phase & Will Pass On". Today I learnt a lesson which no school, no book would have thought me. The Lesson was no matter whether happiness or sadness all will fade away with time "There is no constant in this Dynamic Universe".
" If you think you can, you can & if you think you can't, you can't. " These lines baffled me for the first time. But when I heard the story of 'Roger Bannister' everything started to make sense. Back in 1945 in the world of athletics, it was dogma that no one could run a mile in less than four minutes. The best time was credited to 'Gunder Haegg' from Sweden. He completed a mile in about 4 minutes and 1.4 seconds to be precise. There was a unanimous claim from several doctors, experts, and sports persons that "No person can break this four-minute barrier." Many Doctors claimed that it wouldn't be possible to outpace the run for less than four minutes without causing any physical damage to the human body. After five years on May 6th, 1950, there comes Roger who broke that four-minute barrier and accomplished an undefeated feat. He ran the mile in 3 minutes 59 seconds. He did what others said could never be possible. So, How i...
