Once Upon a time their was an old lady who cried all the time. Her elder daughter was married to a noodle vendor while her younger daughter was wife of an umbrella merchant. On Sunny day's she worried for her younger daughter "Oh No, the weather is so nice and sunny, no one will buy any umbrella's! What will happen if the shop is closed ?". These worries mad her sad and she couldn't help herself and cried. When it used to rain she used to cry for her elder daughter "Oh no, My elder daughter is married to noodle vendor and without sun noodles cannot be dried and their will be no noodles to sell. What will she do?" As a result the old lady used be in sorrow everyday and out of grief used to cry all along. Her Neighbour's couldn't console her and jokingly called her "The Crying Lady".
One day she met a monk. The monk was very curious to know the reason for her sorrow. The Old lady sluggishly and in a very dull tone explained her the problem. The monk listened her problem with very keen. After her explaination the monk smiled kindly and said "Oh Lady, your problem has a very simple solution without any arduious effort's." The Old lady lifted her head up with hope in her eye's.
The Monk said "Madam, You need not worry, I will guide you through the path of happiness. And there after you need not grieve anymore. On the sunny don't think of your younger daughter not able to sell her umbrella but of elder daughter of selling her Noodles. And on rainy days think of your younger daughter being able to sell Umbrella's bringing prosperity." The Old Lady got the light in the monk word's. She started to do as the monk advised. Soon it turned out that the Old Lady started to be jovial an happy everday with a bright smile on her nice. The Neighbour's too acknowledged this and started calling her "The Smiling Lady".
In reality nothing changed except her perspective. In life it happens everytime when we encounter crisis, challenges and difficulties. We start getting inclined towards the negative side wandering all the consequences which hampers our vision's and be an hindrance to a happy life. We should start finding the opportunites and emphsises on the learning.
Changing our perspectives enable us to see the clear vision of opportunity which lays its path to prosperity and a happy life.
"In the midst o Crisis their lies an great opportunity" - Albert Einstien.
"In Chinese word, Crisis has two characteristics one stands for danger and another for opportunity" - John F Kennedy.
I hope you take a leaf from the monk words and walk forwards in this journey of life.
